Car Key Replacement
Lost every key? We cut and program a brand-new key at your vehicle — no tow, no dealership appointment.
Domestic makes
Electric vehicles changed what a car key is. Tesla ships an NFC key card and treats your phone as the primary key. Other EV makers use conventional proximity fobs with EV-specific quirks.
Our role here is more limited and we would rather be straight about it than pretend otherwise. Tesla key cards are paired through the vehicle's own touchscreen by the owner — it takes about a minute and costs nothing, and we are not going to charge you for something you can do yourself in your driveway.
Where we genuinely help is on EVs from conventional manufacturers, where proximity fobs work the same way they do on combustion cars, and on the lockout and mechanical side of any EV.
You pair a new card through the car's touchscreen yourself. We will walk you through it on the phone at no charge rather than sell you a visit.
EVs from traditional manufacturers use standard proximity fobs and we program them normally.
Locked out of an EV? Standard non-destructive entry applies. Note that a fully depleted 12-volt battery can disable door releases entirely on some EVs.
