Our aim
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. That standard is a target we design against rather than a certification we claim — and we would rather say that honestly than display a badge.
What we've built in
- Semantic HTML with a logical heading order on every page
- Full keyboard operability, with a visible focus indicator throughout
- A skip-to-content link as the first focusable element
- Text and interface colors tested for contrast against their backgrounds
- Accessible names on every icon-only control
- Content that is fully readable and navigable without JavaScript
- Motion and scroll animation disabled automatically when your system requests reduced motion
- Layouts that reflow to 320px width and support 200% zoom without loss of content
- Form fields with persistent visible labels, not placeholder-only labelling
Known limitations
Some interactive elements — the situation finder on the home page and the FAQ accordions — need JavaScript to change state. All of the information they contain is also available as plain text elsewhere on the site, and no content is reachable only through them.
Some content is presented in tables, which are horizontally scrollable on narrow screens. We have kept these to a minimum and used them only where tabular data genuinely is the clearest format.
Accessible service, not just an accessible site
Our service is mobile, which removes the premises-access problem entirely — we come to your vehicle wherever it is.
If you are Deaf or hard of hearing, text us at (502) 557-1219 rather than calling; we handle jobs by text routinely. If you need written communication for any reason, email [email protected] and we will keep everything in writing.
If you need extra time, a companion present, or any other reasonable accommodation during a visit, tell us when you book and we will arrange it.
Tell us when we get it wrong
If any part of this site is difficult or impossible for you to use, we want to know. Email [email protected] or call (502) 557-1219.
Please tell us the page, what you were trying to do, and what assistive technology you were using if any. We aim to respond within five business days, and if a fix will take longer we will tell you what we are doing and offer another way to get what you needed.
